Foundation grants receive favorable reviews
More than 90 percent of Rotarians surveyed believe the new Rotary Foundation grant model is better than the previous one. The survey, conducted in 2018-19, is part of a regular review to gauge satisfaction with Foundation grants. Survey participants were also asked to rate their understanding of and support for the areas of focus and to assess the sustainability of global grant-funded projects. The summary of the evaluation revealed that 96 percent say that Rotary is working in the right areas of focus and a majority felt they were well-prepared to implement the sustainability requirements that are part of the grant model. Only 29 percent believe it's easy to design sustainable grant projects. Since the launch of the model, the average size of global grants has increased by 21 percent, and the average size of district grants by 16 percent.
